"Warman®-compatible" is one of the most used phrases in the aftermarket slurry pump trade, and also one of the least precise. To us it means something specific: the part matches the original Warman® geometry within the tolerances needed for drop-in installation, and it is supplied in a material grade suited to the duty.
It does not mean the part is identical in every metallurgical detail. OEMs develop proprietary alloys and heat treatments that cannot and should not be copied exactly. What can and should be matched is the dimensional envelope, the hardness band, the chromium and alloy content, and the machining quality — because those are what decide whether the part fits, balances and wears as expected.
When we label a part Warman®-compatible, we back it with dimensional reports, material certificates and a warranty tied to the documented duty. If a supplier cannot do the same, "compatible" is just a marketing word.
